Coreopsis UpTick wins Four Oaks Trade Show Award

NEW Coreopsis UpTick series

2017 Lasting Beauty Catalogue

Large, dramatic flowers on easy to grow plants

A new series of large flowered, long blooming Coreopsis had its debut at Four Oaks Trade Show this week and took the Award for Best New Nursery Stock Plant Introduction

The judges were impressed with the "continual flowering, good habit, shape and flower size" of this new Coreopsis variety.

Coreopsis UpTick produces characteristic jumbo flowers with a distinctive coloured eye on three of the colours. Bred with both the Grower and Gardener in mind, these Perennial Coreopsis are short and tidy, easy to grow and transport, early blooming and without doubt will provide flowers at retail and in the garden bed as it does not require vernalisation. In production trials we have noticed how well UpTick fills out in 2 – 3 litre pots after transplant and stays naturally short without the need for plant growth regulators.

While many Coreopsis (“tickseed”) varieties can grow in a range of habits with small-size flowers, UpTick grows in a tidy, mounded habit with impressively large blooms. It also features great mildew tolerance and is a great pollinator plant.

UpTick flowers from May through September with a garden height of 30-35cm. The series features four eye-catching colours; Cream, Cream & Red, Gold & Bronze, and Yellow & Red.

Available as a Ball 40 and Ball 84 plug in the Ball Colegrave Lasting Beauty' Perennial programme.
