We hope the reminder of the creative ideas and exciting new varieties displayed at the Ball Colegrave Summer Open Days, in this year’s Park Newsletter will provide you with some inspiration for the 2010 Summer Bedding Season.

We also invite you to celebrate with us the exceptional talent, passion and pride within the Parks and Landscaping sector demonstrated at this years RHS National Flower Bed Competition at Tatton Park.

Don’t miss out on these inspiring events next year. In fact, you can pencil them in to the new Annual Planner we’ve provided you with inside this year’s newsletter. It may also prove to be a great help in the timely planning and ordering of your Bedding Plants and Seeds.

One of the issues you face today within the Parks sector is the decline in design skills available to Parks. This is not to say that there has been a loss of creativity as such, but due to skills shortages, or time constraints, it could be hard to come up with a new and novel bed design.

It’s possible that there are only so many combinations you can come up with before having what you could call a writer’s block in the gardening sense. For this reason, we thought we’d use the resources we have available to us to help you out. To save you time and jump start your creativity, we’ve put together a cd, called the Parks Toolkit. The instructions are enclosed with the cd.

It would be great if we could continue in this vain and share ideas and trends every year. We’d love it if you sent in photos of your own Parks beds, or let us know if you have a great roundabout of our plants and we could send our photographer down. Not only is it great to see different planting combinations, but it’s also nice to see how the plants perform in real settings, with environmental influences constantly present.

We hope it helps you, and please remember we welcome all feedback.
