Public Open Evening
Public Open Evening:
Our Trials Grounds will be open to the Public on the evening of Wednesday 20 July 2016 from 16:00 – 20:00.
We have 4 acres of spectacular trial grounds, colourful gardens and patio displays to explore as well as the largest display of hanging baskets and containers in the UK. A visit to the Open Evening also provides visitors with a very unique and special opportunity to preview New Plant Introductions yet to be released into Garden Centres in 2017!
We are delighted to be joined this year with the Gardening Editor of The Sun newspaper, Peter Seabrook. Peter who is also a Trustee of The David Colegrave Foundation, will be on hand to answer your gardening questions.
Also joining us for the evening will be a number of fantastic Craft Stalls along with some musical entertainment from the Banbury Ukes (Ukele band) and the phenomenal Rock Choir (as seen on numerous TV shows).
As usual we will have a selection of flowering patio plants for sale near the car park (don’t forget to bring carrier bags and boxes for your plant purchases).
Light refreshments are available for purchase, although you are most welcome to bring your own food and drink if you prefer. If we have a lovely sunny evening, why not bring a picnic!
Admission is just £3.00 on the door (no advance bookings). Children under the age of 12 are free.
Sorry, no dogs permitted (except guide dogs)
Parking is free and just a very short walk to the entrance. Coach parties are welcome, but please to make us aware in advance so we can reserve suitable parking space.
A contribution from the admission fees will be made to our local hospice, Katharine House, and to the David Colegrave Foundation.
